CEDAR KNOLLS, NJ -- The European hosting market will grow 25% per year to nearly $6 billion in 2007. A new report from Probe Group, "Western European Hosting Market, 2002-2007", forecasts service provider revenues for hosting in Europe and discusses individual provider offerings.

European hosting markets have seen their worst days, and growth is projected to be strong over the next few years. "Outsourcing budgets are increasing in many European companies despite overall IT cutbacks, and managed hosting is one of the fastest growing areas within IT," comments Liz McPhillips, Research Director for Probe Group.

"The uptake of broadband access by small businesses will drive demand for European hosting services, including web hosting, storage and other related applications," McPhillips continued. "Sweden and other Scandinavian countries are taking up broadband services quickly, and the hosting markets there will benefit the most."

Several factors will determine to success of hosting service providers. "For the small and midsized sectors, price is still very important," McPhillips continues. "While high-end clients will pay more, they demand premium levels of service." Access to multiple carriers is essential in all markets. "European enterprise customers no longer want to be held to a single provider because of costs and reliability concerns."
