This has many advantages over the traditional POP3 protocol, including the ability to store e-mail on a central, secure server with server-side protection against spam and viruses. The typical user will notice a dramatic decrease in the amount of rogue material arriving in her Inbox. Customers may organize e-mail in folders they create right on the server or elect to download it to their local desktop. E-mail can be accessed with traditional e-mail clients like Outlook or Eudora or through our slick webmail interface. No matter which interface the customer prefers, they will see the same folder organization and messages.
Customers receive ten accounts and additional blocks of ten are available for an additional charge. Adminstering the accounts is a snap and changes are reflected immediately, and it's so easy to do that there is no need to hire anyone to take care of such matters for you. In addition, an option to set up a domain-name / e-mail-only account is available.
We plugged into the SiteBuildingSystem framework a superb Live Assistance package called PHPLive! Also PHP-based, the system runs in the browser windows of the customer and the support personnel, is multi-lingual, offers extensive logging and tracking, balances the load evenly across your staff and facilitates the fine-tuning of quick customer service through the creation of boilerplate responses and the presentation of the customer's configuration details to the support staff.
All this behind-the-scenes technology is great, but what makes it ideal for the non-technical customer is the friendly face put on it by the web portal. Portal partners are encouraged to incorporate the SiteBuildingSystem into their front-end, with its own content and style. It's only necessary for a partner to include four links into our system in order for them to offer the full functionality to their customers.
