Tell us about your company and
services
:

HostForADollar.com specializes in low-cost web hosting while still maintaining
a high quality or service and support. Our dedicated staff is available to answer
any support questions or to be ready for any emergency situation. Because of
this hard work, HostForADollar.com has very little downtime and very happy customers.

We offer small, highly customized plans starting around $12/year as well as
large plans starting around $9.95/month. All of our plans are hosted on Linux
servers running all open source software. This allows us to offer the lowest
cost possible with the greatest amount of features. In addition, we also offer
domain name registration and web design and programming.

What are your target markets?

Our target market is split between small office/home office as well as personal
users. Since we specialize in lower-cost plans that still maintain high quality
we handle large clients on a consultation basis.

What makes you different from other web
hosting companies?

Our customer centric approach is unique for a low-cost hosting provider. We
offer the same level of support for our smaller customers which are often reserved
for large corporate clients. We also constantly monitor our servers to make
sure they are not getting overloaded and take quick effort to scale the resources
as necessary.

Very often we get customers that are "refugees" from other low-cost
hosting providers where the received little or no customer support or that the
support was very unfriendly. We always make sure a customer is happy with our
service even if they are leaving our service for another company.

What would you say is your company's
main strength?

Our greatest strength is our relationship with our clients. It is note very
common in the software and services industry where the customer is truly considered
most important. We do what we have to in order to satisfy our customers.

In your opinion, what make great
hosting services?

Simply put, customer service and high quality service. Customer service is
especially important because there are so many choices out there it is very
rough to stand out. We put most of our effort into ultra-fast turn around on
support and always following up with the customer to make sure they are happy.

Describe the support services that you
provide:

Our support begins with one of: a ticket on our Help Desk, an e-mail, instant
message, or phone call. These are all routed to a primary customer support representative
who approximately 90% of the support issue can handle. If the support issue
relates to a server administration issue it is immediately forwarded to a server
admin or operator. If the client is requesting web development or design it
is forwarded on to a project manager or contractor. This support is available
24 hours per day.

Where do you see the hosting industry
4-5 years from now?

This is an issue we deal with constantly as new technologies are developed
that are highly disruptive to our industry. We foresee that the number of hosting
companies is at first going to increase and then there will be consolidation
as customers begin to seek out better quality and larger companies consume smaller
companies. There is also tremendous price pressure in this industry which will
require that companies develop different service levels for different pricing
levels.
